DIGGING DENIM

I’ve never done a full on denim look as I wasn’t into it at 1st, but somehow seeing people wear it gave me a different outlook on it. So i actually got inspired and just put my own character in it. Its comfy if you don’t feel like “dressing up”. What i did was pair my FAVORITE denim shirt with my fave jeans and well the results speak for them self…

Just a tip when wearing a denim shirt and jeans is don’t break it with a belt, rather go for a bold color shoe or bold jewelry. Why? well when you have a denim shirt the contrast of the shirt will either be lighter or darker than the jeans you wearing. I opted for the bold shoe color and the bonus is coral is the “IN” color right now.

When you should wear a belt with a full on denim look, is if its a denim jumpsuit as the contrast in the denim is the same…

Pairing denim is so easy and fun, so if you don’t feel for dressing up and still want to  look fly lol go for the DENIM look. You will not go wrong 🙂

Faded Shirts YAY or nay? You decide!

The faded shirt look… Personally i love it!!! I think its quirky. Why I’d do a faded shirt and not sweater:

• I think a shirt makes a statement
• I’m not a sweater kinda girl lol
• You can dress it up or down (depending on your mood)
• You can add to a shirt its flexible #LOVE

 

I’ve been searching everywhere for one of these faded shirts, but nothing really grabs my attention. Before I buy anything it literally has to be love at 1st sight lol. When you love what you wear, you automatically exude confidence you never thought you had. “When you look good, you feel good”.

But somehow we still go searching for the affordable route… So in my next blog post il be showing you how to get the faded/bleached shirt look and you can try it with any piece of clothing.

CORPORATE INTO CASUAL

I work in a predominantly corporate business unit, where everyone is dressed formal. But i don’t really do formal everyday… What I do is mix and match my clothing items which i love doing. I will never buy a complete out fit in the store but rather items that would match the rest of my closet.

So today I was not feeling very “corporate-ish” so here’s my version of corporate but casual :). Let me know what you guys think?

This was just a simple outfit I compiled, its really easy mixing and matching because it gives you limitless options…

This just shows that being in a corporate environment, you don’t have to be all black and white, adding color is not against the rules :)! So this is how im doing corporate… Hope you guys like it 🙂

BRIGHT is BETTER

Bright Lip Color… Some of us can get a little intimidated by the bright colors of this season, but for those of you who are not as daring as others when it comes to color, go for something small in color like a bright lip or nail color. Its a easy and effortless way to stick to the trend. The only problem is finding the right color to match your skin tone, but i say explore!!! Try different colors until you find the one that matches you perfectly.

I’m definitely going for the vibrant lip color this summer. To see me rock this look keep on visiting my blog:)… Last summer I was a bit intimidated by introducing color into my wardrobe, but this summer I’ve got the sudden urge to add color to everything. Watching models rocking the look certainly inspires me, but in real life we can tone it down a tad bit.

So finally winter is over yay… This past weekend we had the most gorgeous weather in CPT. So this season you want to go for a fresh look no blacks and greys 🙂

The 1st time i saw these shoes i fell inlove 🙂 it was definitely love at 1st sight lol. These are statement shoes and perfect for any occassion. if you not feeling these wedges (there is something wrong with your eyes) lol but you can always swop them up for a pair of pumps.
